Latitude Careers was founded and built on the principle of regaining latitude or freedom of direction in our careers. All too often we find ourselves locked into careers based on decisions on academic pathways we took as a teenager. However, a lot can happen in a lifetime and we may find we went into a career for the wrong reason, or it didn’t meet our expectations, or our passions and interests in life have shifted, or we’re simply bored and want to try something different. In parallel, the jobs market has been fundamentally transformed through the rise in technology and automation, and due to far reaching societal changes. Many jobs didn’t even exist when starting our careers and many are now disappearing or being radically reshaped. Careers are no longer ‘set and forget’, but a series of strategic transitions based on life-long learning.
Just as a car needs regular servicing to get you to your destination, it’s the same with a career. If you run your car into the ground, sooner or later you’ll need to call roadside assistance to get you back on the road again. Tracey Fleming
Founder and Managing Director
Tracey has international experience in this field from working for over 15 years in multinational technology companies. She has been directly involved in career coaching, transition and development, talent acquisition, executive search, training facilitation, team management and project management. Change and transition form part of her own story having lived and worked in France for nearly 20 years.
She returned to Australia 6 years ago where she launched . She uses a thorough and insightful approach when working alongside clients in periods of change and transition and is energised by meeting new people and assisting them to reach their true career potential.
Tracey is an enthusiastic, optimistic and self-motivated person who enjoys competing in half-marathons, hiking and camping. She holds a Bachelor of Business from UTS (University of Technology), Sydney where she studied in Australia, Canada and France. She has also obtained a Graduate Diploma in Career Development and Education from RMIT (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology), Australia, and is a Professional Member of the CDAA (Career Development Association of Australia).
